Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Völundr is a SaaS platform operated by Járnhaus that generates functional web applications from natural language descriptions using AI models. The platform supports the full development lifecycle: requirements analysis, architecture, code generation, automated testing, and deployment. Völundr is intended for developers, entrepreneurs, and small teams who wish to rapidly prototype or ship web applications.

2. Account Terms

To use Völundr you must:

• Provide a valid email address and create a password
• Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately at legal@volundr.dev of any unauthorised access

3. Acceptable Use

The following uses of the Völundr platform are prohibited:

• Using the platform to generate applications that facilitate illegal activity
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or proprietary prompts
• Submitting content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Automating requests to the platform in a manner that disrupts service for other users
• Reselling or sublicensing access to the platform without prior written agreement

4. AI-Generated Content

Völundr uses Claude (Anthropic) and other AI models to generate software code, architecture documents, test plans, and related artifacts (“Generated Artifacts”). You acknowledge that:

• (a) Generated Artifacts are provided “as-is” and are not guaranteed to be correct, complete, secure, or fit for any particular purpose
• (b) You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any Generated Artifacts before using them in production
• (c) Järnhaus makes no warranty that Generated Artifacts do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights
• (d) AI-generated code may contain bugs, security vulnerabilities, or outdated patterns

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights in any original content you submit to Völundr (project descriptions, requirements, uploaded files). You own the Generated Artifacts produced for your projects. Järnhaus retains all intellectual property rights in the Völundr platform, including its source code, AI integration layer, prompting systems, and user interface.

6. Payment Terms

Völundr offers a free tier with limited pipeline capacity. Paid plans and credit packages are described on the pricing page. All payments are processed securely. Subscription fees are billed in advance. Unused credits do not roll over beyond the stated expiry period. Refunds are not provided for partially used billing periods except where required by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Järnhaus’s total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of Völundr shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees you paid to Järnhaus in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100. In no event shall Järnhaus be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at legal@volundr.dev. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases and we may delete your project data after a 30-day grace period.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION: insert country/state of incorporation for Járnhaus]. Any disputes arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [JURISDICTION].

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days’ notice via email or an in-platform notification. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
